What's Going on Here?

So, welcome. You might be wondering where you are and what’s going on here.

This is a place to become more of Who You Are. Because I have a theory…

Well, I have a lot of theories, but the big one is that when we’re all being exactly Who We Are, everything clicks into place.

  • It’s about joy, not struggle.
  • Acceptance, not pushing against.
  • Choice and creation, not simply reacting.

So this is a place to talk about our adventures in Being Us.

This site is also meant to be a dose of Enlightenment for Unenlightened People.

I’m not “enlightened” in the guru, all-knowing, spiritual mentor kind of way. Not even close.

I’m a coach (although I’m not a fan of that term). I’m also trained as a social psychologist so I know a little about what makes people tick.

Most of all, I’m just constantly working on my stuff. It’s my thing.

When other kids were reading choose-your-own-adventure books, I was reading Wayne Dyer and Zig Ziglar. I’ve been working on my own personal development for years and I’ve learned a few things.

I apply these things to my life, as an experiment. When something works, and when something doesn’t work, I’ll share it with you here. That’s one way I intend to help.

The other way I intend to help the world is by showing you my issues. The good and the bad. This, by the way, is how I justify the crap I’ve been through. It’s how I know that everything happens for our greatest good.

You get to see yourself in my experiences and that helps you become more of Who You Are.

Did you get that?

I write about things that matter to me and you see yourself in some of my stuff. We all win.

Here’s some of the stuff I write about here. You might like this site if you can relate:

  • Managing fear and negativity
  • Being a control freak
  • Infertility
  • Starting a business (see: managing fear and negativity)
  • Motherhood, especially being a working mom
  • Dealing with perfectionism and being an “approval whore”
  • Panic Attacks
  • Eating and body image issues
  • Learning to hold your energy despite the outside world (aka, sovereignty)
  • And of course, your garden variety I’m-not-good-enough-There’s-too-much-to-do-Am-I-living-up to-my-potential stuff

Although this looks like a lot of “bad” stuff, in becoming more of Who I Am I’m learning to be grateful for all of it.

This isn’t a negative site about problems, but it is authentic. My intention is that it’s a positive place full of everyday enlightenment, new perspectives, and tools for becoming more of Who You Are.

So, welcome.
