Marketing Coordinator & Web Quality Control Specialist

The Marketing Coordinator  ensures that all marketing efforts of DrAmyJohnson.com and The Little School of Big Change are aligned and running efficiently across all channels. Working closely with the Business Development Manager and Operations Manager, the Marketing Coordinator takes ownership of knowing what marketing efforts have been agreed upon for each month and quarter, and execution of these efforts. This role will be proactive in foreseeing needs for campaigns, and will support the team both in reviewing content and creating content. The role may evolve to a marketing manager in the future based on performance and experience, and the Marketing Coordinator will then take on programs such as partnerships and influencers relations, affiliates program and podcast programming. In addition to being a coordinator, the individual will also be responsible for overall Web Quality Control (WQC). Duties may include by not limited to checking the overall performance of the site on a bi weekly basis, find errors in user registration/checkout process, mobile and desktop regularities, and overall website look and feel.   

Part-Time (10+ hours a week)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plans, initiates and coordinates social marketing activities across multiple channels
  • Coordinates all marketing activities between team members and channels 
  • Participates in monthly, quarterly and annual Marketing Strategy decisions
  • Participates in weekly team meetings and available for meetings as needed
  • Ensures marketing efforts are aligned across channels
    (Social, emails, ads, on-site, collaborations) 
  • Grow and cultivate existing channels (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Podcast, Linkedin, Pinterest), and build new channels and relations (e.g. TikTok, affiliates, influencers, etc.)
  • Track and report core KPIs across channels 

Social Media 

  • Initiate, oversee and review social media activities
  • Set the monthly themes and strategy of content across all channels 
  • Schedules and coordinates all Social Media posts/activities across all channels
  • Oversee monitoring/moderating of posts and ad comments and direct messages
  • Support the marketing team with cross-posting and post boosting
  • Potentially take over social media management if able to grow and uplevel current activity (tbd)
  • Content creation and design
  • Basic video creation / coordination with Jr. Video Editor

Email Marketing

  • Oversees Email Marketing Calendar
  • Supports team with email content
  • Review, improve, and proof weekly newsletter and other marketing emails

Quality Assurance

  • Gather and run daily, weekly, and monthly reports of KPI metrics and sales
    (Followers, Website Visitors, Leads, Ads Performances, Emails/List, Conversions, and other metrics)
  • Support the team in testing/QA new products and initiatives. Ensure that applicable standards are met for marketing efforts
  • Collaborates on, reviews and proofs the content, quality, and style of the site
  • Collaborates on, reviews and proofs the user journey when new product or marketing efforts are implemented
  • Review and QA all brand marketing on all platforms/channels 
  • Track user journeys: end-to-end sales funnels including landing pages, store, CTA posts/ads, emails etc. Communicate clear improvements, suggestions and edits to production team
  • Go through new programs as assigned and ensure smooth user experience 
  • Web Quality Control (WQC). Duties may include by not limited to checking the overall performance of the site on a bi weekly basis, find errors in user registration/checkout process, mobile and desktop irregularities, and overall website look and feel

Affiliates Program – As role grows

  • Oversees Affiliates Marketing Program and various collaborations with other content creators, influencers and podcast guests

Qualifications – Required

  • Fluent in English, written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented and a love of inbound marketing messaging
  • Service-Oriented (in person and virtually)
  • Has a keen eye for details, is data-driven, and can preempt challenges before they occur
  • Technical Skills
    • Overall understanding of online and mobile technology – enjoys learning new tools and programs
    • Proficient in  Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube, Pinterest and TikTok
    • Proficient in Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides
  • Availability of at least 10 hours a week (M-F, 2 hours per day), with ability to grow to full time as company grows
  • Basic Digital Ads

Technical Qualifications – existing knowledge of the below is a plus.

Compensation: 

$20 – 22/hour to start
Status: Part time contractor with at least 10 hours a week. Must be able to add more hours as the brand and position grows
