About:

I am a coach and university professor in Florida (USA), who loves teaching, travel, training for triathlon events, and helping others see who they are beyond the grip of unwanted habits, anxiety, and self-doubt. Having personally struggled with overdrinking for years, I know the challenge and suffering of dealing with unwanted habits, and the anxiety and shame that arise when we vow to “never do it again” only to find ourselves doing it again.

Through seeing more clearly how our minds work, how habits form, and why relying on willpower makes change so difficult, I eventually stopped seeing alcohol and other habits as an “emergency exit” from past pain, present stress, and future worries. I began to see that thoughts and feelings, no matter how overwhelming they seem, are not emergencies. Nor do they require an exit. This realization led not only to a gradual falling away of my long-term drinking habit but also to an experience of greater freedom in many other areas of life.

As a Certified Change Coach, I help clients find freedom from unwanted habits without judgment, labels, or a reliance on willpower. I also enjoy working with those who may have stopped an unwanted behavior but seek to overcome anxiety, worry, and self-doubt as they move forward. Wherever you are on your journey, I’ll walk alongside you, pointing you toward a truer understanding of yourself beyond the habitual, conditioned stories your mind has been telling you.
