This episode is all about memory! I’ll explore:
- How memory is different from other types of thought (or actually, how it isn’t)
- How it works in a reconstructive–created in real time–way, and what that means for us
- How memory for traumatic episodes is sometimes created in a different way than memory for other things
- How memory plays into habits and what we call chronic, or ongoing, issues like anxiety or depression (hint: without memory, there is no such thing as a habit or chronic issue!)
Seeing more about how memory is created and how it works shows us more about all human experience and opens us up the space beyond it. I hope you enjoy this episode!
