EP361: Anticipation is Imagination

Let’s talk about the experience we call anticipation.

It seems like we’re looking ahead to something that’s almost certain to happen. And it seems like it’s very likely to happen the way we’re imagining it. The way it’s likely to go feels like sound logic – of course it might not happen that way, but given the past and common sense and everything we know about life, it’s very likely to happen that way.

In this episode, we explore what anticipation really is. We’ll look at what’s actually going on.

It’s not at all as it seems.

The (now) annual Summer Book Club is back!

Beginning in late July, I’ll be leading a group of people through the book What’s Wrong with Right Now?: If you don’t think about it by Sailor Bob Adamson.

This book is a collection of teachings and dialogues that are uncompromising and direct pointings to the fact of our own being.

We’ll have weekly calls, a forum for support and sharing insights, and Bob’s wife and co-teacher Kat Adamson will join us for a call at the end of the course.

I would love for you to join me! Go to dramyjohnson.com/bookclub to register

The 2025 Summer Book Club

We'll read Sailor Bob Adamson's What's Wrong with Right Now?: If you don't think about it. Skip the beach read and join us for simple, profound pointings to our real nature.
