There are a lot of things that are normal, but not natural.
Living in your head is pretty normal. But it’s not natural.
Feeling caught up in habits is normal, but not natural.
Anxiety and depression are sadly normal, but they aren’t natural (feelings are natural–chronic anxiety and depression are not)
Focusing outward at the physical world, outward at our own psychology, is normal. Not natural.
We tend to limit ourselves with what’s normal, passing up what’s naturally available to us. That’s also normal but not natural, and it’s definitely not necessary.
